Donald Russell was signed as an undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Falcons after two successful seasons at Georgia State.

Beginning Thursday, Georgia State fans will have a chance to see one of their favorite former Panthers in red and black…the red and black of the Atlanta Falcons that is. Donald Russell will open training camp with the Atlanta Falcons in Flowery Branch on Thursday as NFL training camps open.

Most practices are open to the public during the next two weeks. All practices, unless otherwise noted, are held at the team’s headquarters located at 4400 Falcon Parkway in Flowery Branch, Ga. Click here for a map and click here for directions. Parking for Flowery Branch practices will be across the street from team headquarters at the Hog Mountain Sports Complex. Gates for each practice will open to the public an hour before camp begins and admission is free.

Fans can click here to see an entire schedule of practices times leading up to the Falcons first preseason game on Aug. 8, against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Russell was signed as an undrafted signee after two seasons at Georgia State. The all-conference running back finished his career as the leading career rusher in Georgia State history after transferring from Kentucky. In two seasons he rushed for 1,412 yards and 12 touchdowns in 18 games in a GSU uniform , with six 100-yard performances.
