Get Ready to Run and Support Georgia State

Pass the TorchIf you are reading this InsideGSUSports blog, we already know that you are a Georgia State fan and supporter. What we don’t know is if you like to run, whether competitively or just for fun. If you like both, there is a perfect opportunity for you to get in a work-out and support Georgia State at the same time.

The GSU Beta Alpha Psi’s Third Annual Pass the Torch 5k/10k will take place Sat., Oct. 19 at 9 a.m. With the support of Becker Professional Education and Big Peach Running Co., the race through Grant Park will benefit the Global Impact Project, whose mission is to provide a free, quality college education to motivated yet underprivileged students worldwide.

This fun and exciting Peachtree Road Race qualifier through Atlanta’s scenic and historic Grant Park begins near the entrance to Zoo Atlanta and will also have a GSU feel as Pounce at the GSU cheerleaders will be in attendance. As a part of the registration process, each entrant will receive a free ticket to attend a Georgia State football game. If you register before Oct. 1, entrants will receive a ticket to the Oct. 12 game against Troy, which is also Homecoming for the Panthers. Registration after Oct. 1 will allow entrants to receive a ticket to one of the Panthers final three home games.
