Men’s Basketball Gameday Nugget: FIU

Continuing a new blog feature to our site, here is today’s Men’s Basketball Gameday Nugget. For each game during the regular season (and hopefully postseason), I will try to post something that most fans would not know. Some will be more complex than others, but hopefully it will be something that if you are standing around the water cooler the next day would impress your friends.

Georgia State and FIU are former conference foes from the Trans America Athletic Conference (TAAC), which is now the Atlantic Sun Conference. The two schools are meeting for the 17th time and were nearly conference foes again. As GSU entered the Sun Belt, FIU departed the Sun Belt for Conference USA. It will be just the second time the two teams meet since the late 1990’s.

Be sure to come back on Wednesday for the Men’s Basketball Gameday Nugget as the Panthers get ready to face Young Harris in their first home game in nearly a month.
