Inside Ticketing: Looking at Doubleheaders and Baseball Season Tickets

On the second Monday of every month, a member of the Georgia State Ticketing staff will give InsideGSUSports a look at what is going on in their department. Over the course of every month, each department will be featured at least once. Coming next Monday: Communications.

This season offers a new dynamic to Saturday games for men and women’s basketball as we will be hosting four doubleheaders during Sun Belt play. A new policy has been put into place that we want to share with our fans to hopefully avoid any confusion on gamedays at the box office.

On doubleheader days, the Sports Arena Box Office will sell tickets to the women’s basketball game up until the start of the second half of play. At that time, we will begin selling tickets to the men’s game only.

At the end of the women’s game, all fans will be allowed to stay and watch the men’s game free of charge, but will be asked to move to the mezzanine-general admission level. All seats are general admission for women’s basketball games, however, lower level seats are all reserved for men’s basketball games. If a fan would like to sit in the lower level for a men’s basketball game, they are more than welcome to purchase a lower-level ticket.
