Georgia State started a new win streak on Monday night (well, maybe it isn’t a streak just yet, but you catch my drift) and won for the 10th-straight time at home this year. That is tied for the second-longest in program history. The Panthers have also won 15-of-16, so it is still safe to say that things are going well.
I have been trying to find some deeper stuff for the Men’s Basketball Gameday Nugget and might have a really good one for you on Saturday.
For now though, here is one that you will enjoy while preparing for the game on Thursday night. In honor (and hope) that Manny Atkins joins the 1,000-point club tonight, I figured I should give some props to the senior from Tucker.
Senior Manny Atkins is shooting 45.5-percent from 3-point range, currently the third-best season in school history. For his career at Georgia State, Atkins his shooting 43.1-percent from 3-point range, which if the season ended today, would be the second best percentage in school history.
Be sure to come back Saturday for another Men’s Basketball Gameday Nugget as the Panthers continue their home-stand with UL Lafayette at 8:30 p.m. in a game that will be televised live on the Sun Belt Network, including CSS in Atlanta.
