Inside PAC: Ways to Get Involved with Georgia State Athletics

On the first Wednesday of every month, a member of the Georgia State Panther Athletic Club staff will give InsideGSUSports a look at what is going on in their department. Over the course of every month, each department will be featured at least once. Coming Monday: Ticketing.

You play an important role in helping build a championship-caliber athletics program.  We invite you to build a meaningful relationship with Georgia State through PAC membership and supporting our 16 varsity sports.  An important step is getting involved in the Georgia State Athletics experience.

Here are some ways to get involved:

  • Championship Basketball:  The men’s basketball team just clinched the outright Sun Belt Conference regular season championship.  In just three seasons under the leadership of Coach Ron Hunter, the men’s basketball program is 15-1 season in its first season in the Sun Belt Conference.  It’s not too late to witness this championship team in action!

Honor our seniors by attending the and our final games of the season on Saturday, March 8 as the Panthers take on Western Kentucky.  Women’s basketball takes on the Hilltoppers at noon and graduates one senior.  Men’s basketball follows and will graduate four seniors.

  • Football- Renewal and New Season Tickets on Sale Now:  Georgia State will play in the first FBS college football game in the country for the 2014 football season.  Don’t miss any of the action and CLICK HERE to renew your 2014 football season tickets and PAC membership.  The deadline to renew your season tickets is May 1.  If you have not yet purchased season tickets or become a PAC member, we invite you to get involved today by calling 866-GA-STATE (866-427-8283)
  • Take Me Out to the Ball Game:  We invite you to get involved with our Georgia State baseball and softball teams.  Although the seasons for baseball and softball are underway, it is not too late to purchase season tickets.  Georgia State’s baseball team was one of the top hitting teams in the NCAA last year and has defeated two SEC teams so far in 2014.  The Panther softball team also promises to be strong offensive team and is 5-2 at home in 2014.
  •  In the Sand and on the Court, Track and Field:   Men’s and women’s tennis, women’s track and field and men’s and women’s soccer scrimmages are all underway.  Sand volleyball is also scheduled to begin its season at home March 11th.  Get your all sports schedule here so you can support Georgia State student-athletes throughout the spring.

We hope to see you at a game, meet, and/or match.  If we can feasibly be of service to you, please contact us at PAC@gsu.edu.

Thank you for your support and GO PANTHERS!!
