As the Georgia State men’s basketball team travels throughout Costa Rica over the next eight days, the InsideGSUSports blog will provide behind the scenes photos of the trip. Our goal will be to bring our fans into Costa Rica with us coming from different perspectives.
On Thursday, the team flew from Atlanta to San Jose, Costa Rica, about a four-hour flight. After a quick lunch, the team practiced for an hour in preparation of the first game of the trip on Friday.
The team is scheduled to play Cartago Club at approx. 9 p.m. ET. Earlier in the day, Georgia State will get a tour of San Jose and prior to tip of the game, will put on a clinic for children in Cartago.

Georgia State boarded the bus from the airport in San Jose for their first stop on the 8-day trip.
The Panthers made a quick stop for lunch at the local mall. The food court looked very similar to what we would see in Atlanta.
Georgia State got in about a 1-hour practice at the Costa Rica Tennis Club. The gym looked similar to what the Panthers will play in the next few days.
The Costa Rica Tennis Club had a little bit of everything for those who love to play sports.
