Blood Drive Set for Sept. 23

Georgia State athletics will play host to its 10th annual Red Cross Blood Drive in a competition with Georgia athletics.

The blood drive at Georgia State will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the GSU Sports Arena from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and simultaneously in the University Commons housing from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Georgia State won last year’s competition with Georgia by collecting 336 units of blood in its single-day drive.

To speed the process, donors are encouraged to make reservations now to be able to get in and then get back out promptly. Go to and use the code GeorgiaSU to make a reservation. Or call 800-RED-CROSS (800-733-2267) to pick a time to donate.

All presenting donors will receive a ticket to the Oct. 11th football game vs. Arkansas State.
In addition, donors receive a free Give Life t-shirt, Points thru Panther Family Fanatics (check in using your app@ the drive) and a free haircut coupon. Also, donors will have a chance to win a $50 gas card and one of two $100 gift cards from the Georgia State Bookstore.

Georgia State student-athletes help work the Blood Drive, in addition to being donors.
