Men’s Basketball Number of the Game: 384

The 2014-15 Georgia State men’s basketball season officially gets underway on Monday night as the Panthers host Georgia College in an exhibition game in the Sports Arena at 7 p.m.

Starting tonight and running through the entire season, the InsideGSUSports blog will present the Number of  the Game, a quick number and explanation of its significance before tip-off.

The number will come from a variety of different places, but will always be significant to the team or that specific game.

Tonight’s Number of the Game:

Junior R.J. Hunter enters his junior season just 384 points shy of tying Rodney Hamilton’s school record of 1,515 career points. To put that into perspective, Hunter scored 527 as a freshman and 604 as a sophomore.

Come back next Monday before the Panthers face Shorter in their second exhibition game for another Number of the Game.
