Gameday Poll: Who Will Lead Women’s Hoops in Scoring?

The women’s basketball team plays its lone exhibition game Thursday night in the Sports Arena at 7 p.m. against Montevallo in preparation for the Nov. 15 season opener.

With 12 returning veterans plus a pair of freshmen, the Panthers are among the Sun Belt Conference title contenders.

With leading scorer Kendra Long graduated, a big question is who will step up to lead the 2014-15 team in scoring?  Cast your vote now.

Here are some leading candidates on the ballot:

  • Senior point guard Alisha Andrews with her 1,008 career points and 170 3-point baskets
  • Senior center Brittany Logan, who averaged 9.6 ppg last year and finished the season strong
  • Senior guard Kayla Nolan, with 631 career points and 27 double-figure scoring games
  • Junior guard Gaby Moss, a 3-point shooter, with 11 double-figure games as her role will increase
  • Sophomore forward Haley Gerrin, who had a 23-point game last year before her injury
