Men’s Basketball Number of the Game: 511

Georgia State concludes its 5-game, 10-day road trip with a “home” game for head coach Ron Hunter and son R.J. as the Panthers take on IUPUI in Indianapolis. Hunter was the head coach for IUPUI for 17 seasons and that will lead to our number of the game below. Make sure to listen to the game live on 1230 The Fan 2 with Brandon Leak calling the action as the Panthers look for their fourth straight win.

Georgia State rolled through the CBE Hall of Fame Classic in Rochester, Mich., earlier this week winning three games in impressive fashion.

As you know, running through the entire season, the InsideGSUSports blog will present the Number of  the Game, a quick number and explanation of its significance before tip-off.

The number will come from a variety of different places, but will always be significant to the team or that specific game.

Today’s Number(s) of the Game:

511

The number represents the number of games that Hunter coached at IUPUI during his tenure in Indianapolis. Hunter led the Jaguars to multiple postseason appearances and transitioned the school from from NAIA to NCAA DII to NCAA DI.

Come back Thursday before the Panthers face Green Bay in the GSU Sports Arena at 7 p.m.
