Men’s Basketball Number of the Game: 19 and 20

Georgia State concludes its three-game Sun Belt Conference home-stand facing Texas State on Monday night at 7 p.m. in the GSU Sports Arena. If you can’t make it out to the game, listen to the game on 1340 The Fan 3 or WRAS-FM 88.5 or watch live on PantherVision HD.

Georgia State enters the night with an 18-game home-court winning streak, tied for the ninth longest in the country. A hint to today’s Number of the Game, it has to do with winning.

As you know, running through the entire season, the InsideGSUSports blog will present the Number of  the Game, a quick number and explanation of its significance before tip-off.

The number will come from a variety of different places, but will always be significant to the team or that specific game.

Today’s Numbers of the Game:

19 of 20

Since returning to the Sun Belt last season, Georgia State has won 19 of its 20 conference games, a remarkable stretch unmatched in program history. The Panthers finished the 2013-14 season 17-1 in the Sun Belt and are off to a 2-0 to start conference play this year.

Come back Thursday for another number as the Panthers face UL Lafayette in a rematch of last year’s Sun Belt tournament championship game.
