Men’s Basketball Number of the Game: 7

Tonight is a very special night in the GSU Sports Arena as head coach Ron Hunter will once again coach in bare feet to raise awareness for Samaritan’s Feet in the annual ‘Barefoot for Bare Feet’ game. The Panthers will host UT Arlington at 7 p.m. with a special presentation before the game. If you can’t make it to the Sports Arena, make sure to listen to the game on 1340 The Fan 3 or WRAS-FM, 1230 The Fan 2 or watch the game on PantherVision HD.

Although his work with Samaritan’s Feet is more significant than the game, Hunter has had a great deal of success in these games. Tonight will mark the eighth time he has coached barefoot which leads to our Number of the Game below.

As you know, running through the entire season, the InsideGSUSports blog will present the Number of  the Game, a quick number and explanation of its significance before tip-off.

The number will come from a variety of different places, but will always be significant to the team or that specific game.

Tonight’s Numbers of the Game:

7

Head coach Ron Hunter is a perfect 7-0 when coaching bare foot to raise awareness for Samaritan’s Feet. Including in that mark is a 3-0 record at the helm of the Panthers.

Come back Saturday for another Men’s Basketball Number of the Game as the Panthers travel to Appalachian State for a 3:30 p.m. tip. It will mark the first time Georgia State faces off against the Mountaineers as conference opponents.
